🎮 Game Basics

What is Raise Animals?

Raise Animals is a zoo tycoon game where your main goal is to catch wild animals with a lasso, raise them by feeding them, and generate income from tourists who visit your zoo. As you progress, you'll unlock new biomes, discover rare animals, and build an impressive collection.

Core Gameplay Loop

🪢

1. Catch Animals

Use your lasso to catch wild animals by riding other animals and jumping onto them to build trust.

🍖

2. Feed & Grow

Feed your animals to make them grow larger and more valuable. Bigger animals attract more tourists.

👥

3. Earn Money

Tourists visit your zoo and pay money based on the animals you have. Rare animals earn more!

🔄

4. Expand

Use your money to buy better lassos, unlock new biomes, and catch even rarer animals.

🦁 Best Starter Animals

Starting in the Savannah biome, these three animals are your best friends in the early game:

1. Buffalo (Manzy) - The Reliable Starter

Rarity: Common

Spawn Rate: 25%

Catch Difficulty: Easy

Sell Value: $150

Passive: Steady Income

Why Buffalo? Buffalo is your starter mount and provides stable, consistent income. It's easy to catch, reliable for transportation, and perfect for learning the game mechanics.

✅ Recommended: Keep at least 2-3 Buffalos for steady passive income!

2. Zebra - The Speed Runner

Rarity: Common

Spawn Rate: 20%

Catch Difficulty: Easy

Sell Value: $200

Passive: Speed Boost

Why Zebra? Zebras are faster than Buffalos, making them excellent for exploration and reaching distant spawn points where rarer animals appear.

✅ Recommended: Use Zebra as your main riding mount for catching!

3. Ostrich - The Jumper

Rarity: Uncommon

Spawn Rate: 15%

Catch Difficulty: Medium

Sell Value: $350

Passive: Jump Power

Why Ostrich? The enhanced jump ability helps you avoid obstacles more easily during the catching minigame, leading to more successful catches.

✅ Recommended: Great for mid-game when obstacles become challenging!

🎯 How to Catch Animals

The Catching Process (Step-by-Step)

  1. 1

    Equip Your Best Lasso

Go to the shop and make sure you have your best lasso equipped. Better lassos have longer range and make catching easier.

  2. 2

    Ride Your Fastest Animal

Mount your Zebra or fastest available animal. Speed is crucial for reaching rare animals that spawn far away.

  3. 3

    Find a Target Animal

Ride through the biome until you see an animal you want to catch. Get close enough for your lasso to activate (you'll see a prompt).

  4. 4

    Jump Onto the Animal

Use your lasso to jump onto the target animal's back. A heart/trust meter will appear.

Important: You must stay on the animal without falling to fill the trust meter!

  5. 5

    Avoid Obstacles

While riding the animal, obstacles will appear in your path. Jump over them or move left/right to avoid. Hitting obstacles resets your progress!

Tip: Focus on the path ahead, not the trust meter. Rhythm is key!

  6. 6

    Fill the Trust Meter

Once the heart meter fills completely, the animal is tamed and automatically added to your zoo. Congratulations!

💰 Early Money-Making Strategies

Strategy #1: Focus on Volume Over Rarity (First 30 Minutes)

In your first hour, catch as many animals as you can, even common ones. More animals = more tourist income. Don't waste time hunting rare animals yet.

✅ Goal: Get 10-15 animals quickly to establish passive income.

Strategy #2: Don't Sell Your First Animals

Resist the urge to sell animals immediately. Keep them for tourist income until you have duplicates. Tourists provide passive cash that adds up over time.

✅ Rule: Only sell animals when you have 3+ of the same type.

Strategy #3: Complete Daily Quests

Daily quests reward free Rubies which can be used to buy better lassos. These quests are usually simple (catch X animals, earn X cash) and reset daily.

✅ Tip: Check quests first thing each day for easy rewards!

Strategy #4: Feed Your Animals

Buy food from the shop and feed your animals to make them grow. Larger animals generate more tourist income. This is especially effective with Epic and Legendary animals.

✅ Priority: Feed rare animals first for maximum ROI.

⚠️ Common Beginner Mistakes to Avoid

❌ Mistake #1: Selling Animals Too Early

New players often sell their first animals for quick cash, but this hurts long-term passive income. Keep animals for tourist revenue!

❌ Mistake #2: Wasting Rubies on Random Items

Rubies are precious! Save them for better Lassos, not cosmetics or temporary boosts. A good Lasso makes catching much easier.

❌ Mistake #3: Ignoring the Trust Meter

Many beginners hit too many obstacles and never fill the trust meter. Practice makes perfect - focus on timing your jumps!

❌ Mistake #4: Not Joining the Official Group

You MUST join the Raise Animals Studio Roblox group to redeem codes. Don't miss out on free Rubies and Cash!

❌ Mistake #5: Rushing to New Biomes

Master the Savannah first. Get a solid collection and income before moving to Ocean or other biomes. New biomes have harder animals.
